Front Lower Control Arm Bushing Replacement

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  3. Remove the front comparrtment insulator. Refer to FRONT COMPARTMENT INSULATOR REPLACEMENT .
  4. Remove the lower control arm. Refer to Lower Control Arm Replacement .

CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Procedure 

  1. Install and hand tighten the NEW bushing bolt. Do NOT reuse old bolt.
  2. Install lower control arm to the vehicle. Refer to Lower Control Arm Replacement 
  3. Support the lower control arm with a hydraulic jack and lift the control arm into the neutral position.
  4. Tighten lower control arm bushing bolt.

Tighten: 55 N.m (41 lb ft)  + 45 - 60°
