Installation Procedure

  1. Apply a light coat of high temperature silicone brake lubricant to the brake caliper guide pins.

  3. Install the 2 brake caliper guide pin seals.
  4. Ensure the brake caliper guide pin seal is fully seated in the groove of the brake caliper bracket.
  5. NOTE: The upper brake caliper guide pin is equipped with a bushing and must be installed in the same location.
  6. Install the upper brake caliper guide pin (1).
  7. Install the lower brake caliper guide pin (2).
  8. Ensure the brake caliper guide pin seal is fully seated in the groove of the brake caliper guide pins.
  9. Position the brake caliper over the brake pads and to the caliper bracket.

    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  11. Using a backup wrench to hold the brake caliper guide pin stationary, install the brake caliper guide pin bolts (1) and tighten to 28 N.m (21 lb ft).
  12. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
