Generator Bracket Replacement (V8)

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement (V8) Service and RepairGenerator Replacement (V6) Service and RepairGenerator Replacement (Diesel) Service and Repair.

2. Remove the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement (4.3L) Service and RepairPower Steering Pump Replacement (4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L) Service and RepairPower Steering Pump Replacement (LGH) Service and Repair.

3. Remove the generator bracket bolts.

4. Remove the generator bracket.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the generator bracket.

Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

2. Install the generator bracket bolts and tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb ft).

3. Install the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement (4.3L) Service and RepairPower Steering Pump Replacement (4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L) Service and RepairPower Steering Pump Replacement (LGH) Service and Repair.

4. Install the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement (V8) Service and RepairGenerator Replacement (V6) Service and RepairGenerator Replacement (Diesel) Service and Repair.
