Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front exhaust muffler assembly. Refer to Exhaust Muffler Replacement - Front .
  2. Remove the fuel tank strap retaining bolt and band (1) left side only.
  3. Remove the 3 fuel tank heat shield retaining screw bolt (2).
  4. Remove the fuel tank heat shield (3).
