July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the fuel level sensor to the fuel tank fuel pump module. Refer to Fuel Level Sensor Replacement .
  2. Install a NEW fuel tank module seal (4).

  3. Install the fuel tank fuel pump module (2).
  4. Connect the fuel tank vent connection (3, 5).
  5. Install the fuel pump module lock ring (1).
  6. Make sure that the fuel tank fuel pump module (2) align with the fuel tank line (1).

  7. Using the EN-48279  wrench and a long breaker-bar, rotate the lock ring in a clockwise direction in order to lock the lock ring.
    NOTE: Do NOT use impact tools. Significant force will be required to release the lock ring. The use of a hammer and screwdriver is not recommended. Secure the fuel tank in order to prevent fuel tank rotation.
  8. Connect the fuel tank fuel pump module wiring harness (4) to the fuel tank fuel pump module.

  9. Remove the caps from the fuel feed pipe, the evaporative emission canister vent pipe and the fuel tank vent pipe.
  10. Connect the evaporative emission canister vent pipe (3), the fuel tank vent pipe (2) and the fuel feed pipe (1) to the fuel tank fuel pump module.
  11. Install the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement .
