July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2015 Chevrolet Impala. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Position the front lower control arm (3) on the vehicle.

  2. Front Lower Control Arm Rear Bolt (2)» Install [2x]
    CAUTION: This vehicle is equipped with torque-to-yield or single use fasteners. Install a NEW torque-to-yield or single use fastener when installing this component. Failure to replace the torque-to-yield or single use fastener could cause damage to the vehicle or component.

    Install NEW bolts.

  3. Front Lower Control Arm Rear Nut (1)» Install, but do NOT tighten [2x]
  4. Front Lower Control Arm Front Bolt (2)» Install

    Install a NEW bolt.

  5. Front Lower Control Arm Front Nut (1)» Install and tighten
    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Tighten

    1. First Pass: 100 N.m (74 lb ft)
    2. Final Pass: (90-105 degrees)
  6. Front Lower Control Arm Rear Bolt (2)» Tighten [2x]

    Tighten

    1. First Pass: 100 N.m (74 lb ft)
    2. Final Pass: (75-90 degrees)
  7. Connect the front lower control arm ball joint to the steering knuckle.
  8. Steering Knuckle Bolt (2)» Install

    Install a NEW bolt.

  9. Steering Knuckle Nut (1)» Install and tighten

    Tighten

    1. First Pass: 50 N.m (37 lb ft)
    2. Second Pass: Loosen 120 degrees
    3. Third Pass: 50 N.m (37 lb ft)
    4. Final Pass: (30-45 degrees)
  10. Connect any harnesses or retainers previously disconnected from the front lower control arm.
  11. Front Compartment Splash Shield» Install - Front Compartment Splash Shield Replacement
  12. Install the front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
  13. Measure and adjust the wheel alignment. Wheel Alignment Measurement
