Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition ON.
  2. Test for greater than 12 V between the positive terminal and negative terminal on the C1 Battery and C1B Battery - Auxiliary.
    • If greater than 12 V 
  3. Verify no DTCs are set.
    • If no DTCs are set 
  4. Verify the autostop and autostart functions are functioning properly while operating the vehicle under the conditions for entering a start/stop event. Refer to Diagnostic Aids  to ensure all conditions are met.
    NOTE: A vehicle hoist can be used to verify the autostop and autostart operation.
    • If the vehicle does not autostop or autostart 

      Observe the scan tool Autostop Disable Reason, Autostop Inhibit, Autostart Inhibit and Autostart Entry parameters while operating the vehicle under the conditions for entering a start/stop event. These parameters will identify the specific cause for the autostop or autostart disable. Refer to the appropriate subsection and symptom when the cause is identified using the scan tool parameters.

    • If the vehicle autostops and autostarts 
  5. Verify the infotainment system remains active during a start/stop event.
    • If the infotainment system turns off or restarts during a start/stop event. 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing - Dual Battery Control Module Circuit Malfunction

    • If the infotainment system remains active during a start/stop event 
  6. Verify the C1 Battery and C1B Battery - Auxiliary switch in and out at the appropriate events.
    • If the C1 Battery and C1B Battery - Auxiliary do not switch in and out at the appropriate events 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing - Dual Battery Control Module Circuit Malfunction

    • If the C1 Battery and C1B Battery - Auxiliary switch in and out at the appropriate events 
  7. All OK.
