Installation Procedure

Attach the generator battery control wiring harness (2), to the engine compartment, with the retainers (1).

CAUTION:

Install the generator battery control wiring harness cable (3) to the starter stud (1) and tighten the fastener (2) to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

Connect the generator battery control wiring harness connector (1) to the EPS connector (2).
Install the steering gear skid shield. Refer to Steering Gear Skid Shield Replacement .

Install the generator battery control wiring harness ground terminal (2), to the front of the engine block, and tighten the fastener (1) to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).

Install the generator battery control wiring harness terminal (3) to the generator B + stud and tighten the fastener (2) to 12 N.m (106 lb in).
Install the generator stud protective boot (1).

Install the generator battery control wiring harness terminals (5) to the battery fuse block (4).
Install the battery positive cable (1) to the battery fuse block and tighten the fasteners (3) to 12 N.m (106 lb in).
Install the battery fuse block cover (2).
Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Dual Battery) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery) .
