Installation Procedure

  1. Install Battery Positive Cable (1)
    2. Fig 2: Battery Positive Cable Protector And Retainer

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Attach Battery Positive Cable Retainer (3)
  3. Install Battery Positive Cable Nut (1) and tighten 15 N.m (11 lb ft)
  4. Install Battery Positive Cable Protector (2)

  5. Attach Battery Positive Cable Retainer (2)
  6. Install Battery Positive Cable Nut (1) and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)

  7. Install Fuse Block Cover (1)

  8. Install Battery Retainer Assembly (2)
  9. Install Battery Retainer Assembly Bolt (1) and tighten 8 N.m (71 lb in)

  10. Connect Body Wiring Harness Connector (2) @Battery Distribution Fuse Block
  11. Install Body Wiring Harness Nut (1) @ Battery Distribution Fuse Block and tighten 5 N.m (44 lb in)

  12. Install Battery Tray Support (2)
  13. Install Battery Tray Support Nut (1) and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)

  14. Install Battery Positive Cable (3) @ Battery Post
  15. Install Battery Positive Cable Clamp Fastener and tighten 5 N.m (44 lb in)
  16. Install Battery Positive Cable Protective Cover (1)
  17. Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
