Installation Procedure

  1. Transfer components as necessary.
    2. Fig 1: Steering Gear Nut

  2. Rack and Pinion Steering Gear at Drivetrain and Front Suspension Crossmember - Install
  3. Steering Gear Bolt - Install
  4. Steering Gear Nut - Install
    5. CAUTION:

    Fastener Caution

  5. Steering Gear Bolt - Tighten
    1. First Pass: 100 N.m (74 lb ft)
    2. Final Pass: 45 - 60 Degrees

  8. Measure and adjust the front toe. Wheel Alignment - Steering Wheel Angle and/or Front Toe Adjustment
  9. Calibrate the steering angle sensor. Steering Wheel Angle Sensor Centering
