Installation Procedure

  1. Without start/stop system use the following steps:

    1. Install Battery Current Sensor (2)
    2. Install the battery negative cable terminal cover (1).

    4. Install Battery Negative Cable Clip (1)
    5. Connect Battery Current Sensor Connector (2)

      CAUTION:

      Refer to Fastener Caution .

    7. Install body extension current sensor wiring harness to battery negative cable bolt (1) and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

    9. Connect the battery negative pole clamp (1).
    10. Tighten the battery negative pole clamp nut (2) to 4.5 N.m (40 lb in).
  2. With start/stop system use the following steps:

    1. Install Battery Negative Cable Clip (1)
    2. Fig 6: Battery Negative Cable Nut

      NOTE:

      Use a counterholder to prevent the battery sensor from damage.

    3. Install Battery Negative Cable (3)
    4. Install a open-end spanner (1) to counter-hold the battery sensor as shown in the graphic.
    5. Install the battery negative cable nut (2) and tighten to 11 N.m (97 lb in).
    6. Tighten the battery negative pole clamp nut to 4.5 N.m (40 lb in).
  3. Connect Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection 
  4. Fold the rear seat back cushion in original position.
  5. Close the right rear door.
  6. Install Rear Compartment Floor Panel Trim Support Replacement
  7. Install Rear Compartment Floor Panel Trim Replacement (Notchback)Rear Compartment Floor Panel Trim Replacement (Hatchback)
  8. Close the rear compartment lid.
  9. Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode & Engine - Off
  10. Program the volatile memory. Volatile Memory Programming
  11. Program all of the customer's radio station presets and set the radio clock to the current time.
