Installation Procedure

  1. Clean and inspect the fuel injector prior to reinstalling it. Refer to Fuel Injector Cleaning and Inspection
  2. Install NEW Combustion Fuel Injector Seal

  3. Slide the fuel injector hold down clamp (2) into the grooves on the fuel injector (1) and install them together into the valve rocker arm cover ensuring that the fuel injector locating pin engages the fuel injector hold down clamp.

  4. Install Fuel Injector Washer

  5. Install Fuel Injector Bracket Bolt and tighten 30 N.m. (22 lb ft)
    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  6. Connect Electrical Connector @ Fuel Injector - Connect

  7. Replace the fuel filter. Refer to Fuel Filter Replacement 
    NOTE:

    If applicable, perform the fuel filter life reset after replacing the fuel filter.

  8. Prime the fuel system. Refer to Fuel System Priming 
  9. With the engine running, check the fuel system for leaks.
  10. Install Fuel Injector Deadener - Refer to Fuel Injector Deadener Replacement 
  11. Perform the fuel injection small quantity learn. Refer to Fuel Injection Small Quantity Learn 
  12. Perform the fuel injector flow rate programming. Refer to Fuel Injector Flow Rate Programming
