WARNING: Refer to Exhaust Service Warning . Preliminary Procedures Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (without KL9)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (with KL9) Intake Manifold Cover Replacement
1	Wiring Harness Clip Procedure Remove the oxygen sensor wiring from the oxygen sensor lead clip.
2	Wiring Harness Procedure Disconnect the electrical connector.
3	Heated Oxygen Sensor CAUTION: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution . CAUTION: Refer to Heated Oxygen and Oxygen Sensor Caution . CAUTION: Refer to Silicon Contamination of Heated Oxygen Sensors Caution . CAUTION: Refer to Heated Oxygen Sensor Resistance Learn Reset Caution . CAUTION: A special anti-seize compound is used on the oxygen sensor threads. New service sensors should already have the compound applied to the threads. Coat the threads of a reused sensor with anti-seize compound P/N 5613695 or equivalent. Procedure When the replacement is completed, use a scan tool to perform the appropriate reset functions.
