Removal Procedure

- Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
Remove the 2 rear engine lift bracket bolts (2).
- Hang the rear engine lift bracket (1) aside to gain access to remove the generator.
- If equipped, remove the engine shield. Refer to Engine Shield Replacement .
- Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
Disconnect the generator wiring harness plug (3).
- Remove the generator positive cable nut (1) along with the generator positive cable (2).
Remove the 2 lower generator bolts (3).
- Lower the vehicle.
- Remove the upper generator bolt (1).
- Remove the generator (2).
