Front Lower Control Arm Bushing Replacement

Preliminary Procedure 
Remove the front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
1 Front Lower Control Arm Front Nut
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Procedure 
Apply GM specified threadlocker, or an industry equivalent, to the front lower control arm front stud threads. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers 
NOTE:
  • Ensure there are NO gaps in the threadlocker along the length of the filled area of the front lower control arm front stud threads.
  • Allow the threadlocker to cure for approximately 10 minutes before installation of the front lower control arm front nut.

Tighten 
195 N.m (144 lb ft)
2 Front Lower Control Arm Front Bushing Bolt
3 Front Lower Control Arm Front Bushing Nut
Tighten 
75 N.m (55 lb ft)
4 Front Lower Control Arm Front Bushing
NOTE:

The front lower control arm front bushing is NOT serviced separately from the mounting bracket. Do NOT remove the bushing from the bracket.
