Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .

    Remove the steering knuckle (1). Refer to Steering Knuckle Replacement (4WD without ZR2)Steering Knuckle Replacement (2WD)Steering Knuckle Replacement (4WD with ZR2) .

    Using a hydraulic press, remove the front brake bearing shield (1).
