Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling
  2. Three-Way Catalytic Converter Replacement - Remove

    Clamp (3) - Loosen [2x]

  4. Heater Inlet Hose (2)@Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler (1) - Disconnect
  5. Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Water Bypass Outlet Hose (4)@Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler (1) - Disconnect

    Thermostat Bypass Hose Clamp (1) - Loosen

  7. Thermostat Bypass Hose (2) - Disconnect

    Remove the exhaust gas recirculation temperature sensor - position 1 (1) from exhaust gas recirculation cooler (3).

  9. Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Bolt (2) - Remove [2x]

    Remove the exhaust gas recirculation temperature sensor - position 2 (2).

  11. Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Bolt (3)@Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler (1) - Remove [2x]

    Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Bolt (3) - Remove [2x]

  13. Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler (4) - Remove
  14. Gasket (1, 2)Remove and DISCARD [2x]
