Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front tire and wheel assemblies. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
  2. If equipped with the front leveling position sensor, disconnect the electrical connector.

    NOTE:

    Support the lower control arm ball joint with a hydraulic jack.

    Nut (1) - Loosen

  4. GM3665597

    CH-42188-B  separator (2)@Steering Knuckle(1) - Install

  5. Separate the steering knuckle from the lower ball joint.

    NOTE:

    If necessary turn the steering knuckle in position.

    Bolt (1)@Front Lower Control Arm Bushing(2) - Remove and DISCARD[2x]

  7. GM3665594
    NOTE:

    Hold against the nuts (1) to release the bolts (2). Use a suitable tool.

    Bolt(2) - Remove and DISCARD[2x]

  8. Nut(1) - Remove and DISCARD[2x]
