Condition  Some customer may comment that they are not able to change the HVAC modes or there is no air flow from the defroster vents.
Upon inspection, the tech may find that the mode control cable is bent.

Cause  This condition may be due to a combination of increased resistance from debris in the mode valve link assembly and high air flow (fan speeds above the setting of 3) against mode doors from the blower motor.

CORRECTION

If the above conditions are found, the tech will need to inspect the mode valve link assembly for debris or damage.

If debris is found, clean the link assembly and re-install or replace as needed.

Then, replace the mode control cable
