Removal Procedure

WARNING:

Refer to Collision Sectioning Warning .

NOTE:

The radiator support is high strength low alloy steel. HIGH STRENGTH LOW ALLOY STEEL .

  1. Disable the SIR system. SIR Disabling and Enabling
  2. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (9C1, 5W4)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (KL9)
  3. Remove all related panels and components.
  4. Remove radiator upper support replacement.
  5. Remove the sealers and anti-corrosion materials from the repair area as necessary. Anti-Corrosion Treatment and Repair

    Do not damage or cut attaching panels and reinforcements.

  6. Remove all spot welds (1) from the front compartment upper side rail. [8X]

  7. Remove all spot welds (1) from radiator support. [6X]

  8. Remove all spot welds (1) from radiator support. [2X]

  9. Cut the front compartment upper side rail at the marked location (1).

  10. Cut the radiator support at the front marked location (1).

  11. Cut the radiator support at the rear marked location (1).

  12. Apply heat to shaded area (1) to release adhesive from front compartment upper side rail sectioning.

  13. Remove the front compartment upper side rail sectioning from the vehicle.
  14. Radiator Support Body Bolt (1) >> Remove [2X] Body Upgrade Mount Replacement

  15. Apply heat to shaded area (1) to release adhesive from radiator support.

  16. Remove radiator support (1) from the vehicle.

  17. Remove all spot welds (1) from radiator support section. [4X]

  20. Apply heat to shaded area (1) to release adhesive from radiator support section.

  21. Remove radiator support sections (1) from the vehicle.
  22. Remove remaining adhesive from vehicle.
