July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition ON.
  2. Verify there are no other DTCs set and that there are no communication DTCs set in the vehicle.
    • Go to next step: If no DTC's are set 
  3. NOTE:

    The Cruise Control Inhibit History Data and Cruise Control Disable History Data can be found in the K124 Active Safety Control Module Data Display

  4. Verify the scan tool Cruise Control Inhibit History 1 - 6 Data and Cruise Control Disable History 1 - 6 Data indicate no current malfunction.
    • If any current malfunctions are present 

      Diagnose the system that sets the malfunction.

    • Go to next step: If no current malfunctions are present 
  5. NOTE:

    The Long Range Radar Sensor Module Misaligned scan tool parameters can be found in the B233B Long Range Radar Sensor Module Data Display

  6. Verify the following scan tool parameters are all No:
    • Long Range Radar Sensor Module Misaligned - Angled Down
    • Long Range Radar Sensor Module Misaligned - Angled Left
    • Long Range Radar Sensor Module Misaligned - Angled Right
    • Long Range Radar Sensor Module Misaligned - Angled Up
    • Go to next step: If all of the parameters are No 
  7. NOTE:

    The Frontview Camera Mode parameter can be found in the K124 Active Safety Control Module Data Display

  8. Verify the scan tool Frontview Camera Mode parameter is Sensing.
    • Go to next step: If the parameter is Sensing 
  9. Verify the SERVICE FRONT CAMERA message is not displayed on the driver information center.
    • If the message is displayed 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing - Test 1

    • Go to next step: If the message is not displayed 
  10. Press and release the Adaptive Cruise Control Gap Switch.

    Verify the adaptive cruise control gap setting on the A5 Driver Information Center changes between Far, Medium, and Near with each button press.

    • If the gap setting does not change 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing - Test 2

    • Go to next step: If the gap setting changes
