Oil Pump Flow Control Valve Replacement

Preliminary Procedure 
Oil Pump Suction Pipe and Screen Assembly Replacement
1 Electrical Connector
2 Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve Bolt with Insulator
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Tighten 
5 N.m (44 lb in)
3 Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve
CAUTION:

After removing the oil pump flow control valve, ensure the entire valve has been removed and there is no debris left in the oil pump bore. Failure to ensure the oil pump bore is free from debris may result in engine damage.

NOTE:

The engine should be allowed to cool for 2 hours, or until the pump is near ambient temperature or there is a high risk of breaking the oil pump flow control valve off in the bore when attempting removal.

4 Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve Seal [2x]
Procedure 
Lubricate the O-ring seals with clean engine oil.
