Installation Procedure
Install the air suspension control module (3) on the air suspension controller (2).
- Automatic Level Control Air Compressor Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
Install the air suspension controller (1) and air suspension control module as an assembly.
Install and tighten the 2 automatic level control solenoid bolts (1). Fastener Specifications
Loosen the 7 automatic level control air compressor tube fittings (1) to allow removal of the 7 shipping plugs from the air suspension controller and DISCARD.
- Without removing the 7 automatic level control air compressor tube fittings (1) in the air suspension controller, fully insert the 7 automatic level control air compressor tubes into the 7 automatic level control air compressor tube fittings in the air suspension controller and tighten. Fastener Specifications
- Slightly pull on each line to ensure proper seating is obtained.
- Electrical Connector (2) - Connect
- Install the spare tire and wheel assembly.
Remove the automatic level control air supply reservoir air valve cap (1).
- Install CH-52667 Air Spring Inflator to the automatic level control air supply reservoir air valve (2) and set the regulator on the nitrogen tank to 16 Bar (232 PSI).
- Using CH-52667 Air Spring Inflator, open the valve on the pressure gage to fill the automatic level control air supply reservoir.
- Using CH-52667 Air Spring Inflator and the shop nitrogen tank, fill the automatic level control air supply reservoir to 16 Bar (232 PSI).
- Close the pressure gauge valve and remove CH-52667 Air Spring Inflator from the automatic level control air supply reservoir.
- Install the automatic level control air supply reservoir air valve cap (1) and tighten. Fastener Specifications .
- Partially lower the vehicle, but DO NOT let the wheels touch the ground.
- Using GDS2 tool, use short-term inflate to increase pressure to the air springs:
- Front: 6 Bar (87 PSI)
- Rear: 5 Bar (73 PSI)
- Using GDS2, verify automatic level control air supply tank pressure is at 16 Bar (232 PSI), if not repeat steps 11 - 16.
- Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
- Verify the vehicle leveling system is out of service mode and has returned to normal operation. Clear any stored DTC codes if needed.
- Start the vehicle and allow to return to normal ride height.
- With the vehicle off the hoist and on flat level ground, inspect the trim height. Trim Height Inspection
CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
NOTE:
The air suspension controller and the air lines are color coded for ease of installation.
