Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716)
  2. Remove underbody panels as necessary. Underbody Panel Component Locator

    Hose Clamp (3) - Disengage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type

  4. Water Pump Inlet Hose (4) @ Water Pump Module - Remove
  5. Hose Clamp (5) - Disengage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
  6. Water Pump Inlet Hose (4) @ Engine Oil Cooler - Remove

    Disconnect the electrical connector.

  8. Crankshaft Position Sensor Bolt (1) - Remove
  9. Crankshaft Position Sensor (2) - Remove
