Removal Procedure

  1. Disable the SIR system. SIR Disabling and Enabling
  2. Front Side Door Trim - Remove - Front Side Door Trim Removal and Installation

    NOTE:

    Some components not shown for graphic clarity.

    Remove the 7 front side door front auxiliary weatherstrip retainers (1).

  4. Front Side Door Front Auxiliary Weatherstrip (2) - Remove

    Front Side Door Window Belt Reveal Molding Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

    Front Side Door Window Belt Reveal Molding (1) - Remove

    Front Side Door Armrest Bracket Bolt (2) - Remove [2x]

  8. Front Side Door Pull Handle Bracket (1) - Remove

    Route front side door inside handle cable through hole in front side door water deflector (1) while removing it from the door.

  10. Front Side Door Water Deflector (1) - Remove

    Disconnect the electrical connector.

  12. Using an appropriate trim tool release the retainers securing the electrical connector (1).

    NOTE:

    Component made transparent for graphic clarity.

    Pull the weatherstrip back to gain access to the front side door window frame rear applique bolts (1).

  14. Front Side Door Window Frame Rear Applique Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
  15. Using the appropriate tool, release the front side door window frame rear applique (2) from the door panel.
  16. Front Side Door Window Frame Rear Applique (2) - Remove

    CAUTION:

    Do NOT use a heat gun to remove adhesive back components secured to plastic panels/appliques to prevent damage to the panel/applique when removing.

    Near Field Communication Exterior Module (1) - Remove
