Steering Column: Installation

  1. Insert steering shaft from inside vehicle. Connect joint assembly to steering shaft (and gear box on Raider and 4WD Ram-50).
  2. Connect shaft to steering gear housing main shaft with bolt hole facing down. Tighten clamp bolt. Attach tilt bracket to pedal support member.
  3. Apply sealer to dust cover bolt holes. Install dust cover to body. Install column switch. Route and secure wiring harness along column tube.
  4. Reconnect switch connectors. Install column cover. Ensure wheels are straight and steering wheel is locked. Install steering wheel.
