Code 12 Valve Relay
- Valve relay, located in sensor block, provides power to wheel circuit valves and replenishing valve. Current flow through the valve relay coil is controlled by pressure monitoring module, located in sensor block.
- Pressure monitor module energizes and de-energizes pump/motor circuit to maintain proper accumulator pressure. It also turns Red BRAKE light on if accumulator pressure (hydraulic pressure) drops below proper amount.
- In case of malfunction, module can disable valve relay due to low hydraulic pressure, without being commanded by ABCM. Valve relay is activated when ABCM grounds valve relay actuation wire (pin No. 28).
- When valve relay is energized, valve relay feedback line (pin No. 32) should have battery voltage. When de-energized, valve relay feedback line (pin No. 32) should be grounded. Code 12 will appear if pressure monitor or valve relay fails, or incorrect voltage condition is detected.
