VER-1A - System Verification Test
NOTE:
For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION. For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAM.
- Disconnect all previously connected jumper wires. Reconnect all previously disconnected connectors. Reinstall all previously removed relays. Replace any blown fuses. Using DRB-II, erase fault messages. Turn ignition off and then on. Using DRB-II, read fault messages for 4 minutes. If any fault messages are displayed, go to TEST 1A. If no fault messages are displayed, go to next step.
- Using DRB-II, select and monitor STOP LAMP SWITCH INPUT. If DRB-II does not display "ON" when brake pedal is depressed, perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1B . If DRB-II displays "ON" when brake pedal is depressed, go to next step.
- Using DRB-II, read ACCUMULATOR SENSOR STATE voltage value. Depress brake pedal 40 times. If accumulator voltage is not temporarily more than 4 volts, perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1C. If voltage is temporarily more than 4 volts, go to next step.
- Using DRB-II, read BOOST and PRIMARY PRESSURE TRANSDUCER voltage values with brake pedal released. If both boost and primary pressure transducer voltages are more than 4 volts, perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1D. If both boost and primary pressure transducer voltages are less than 4 volts, go to next step.
- If both boost and primary pressure transducer voltages are zero volts, perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1E. If both boost and primary pressure transducer voltages are not zero volts, go to next step.
- Road test vehicle for a minimum of 5 minutes at various speeds. Perform several ABS stops during road test. After completing road test, use DRB-II to read fault messages. If any fault messages are displayed, go to TEST 1A. If no fault messages are displayed, ABS is operating properly at this time.
