Test 54A - Repairing Traveler Illumination Problem

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR  IDENTIFICATION. For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Perform TEST VER-1 after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Turn park lamps on. If traveler module does not dim with dimmer control, disconnect traveler module connector. Traveler module is located in center section of dash. Go to next step.
  2. Put DRB in voltmeter mode. Measure voltage at traveler connector terminal No. 5 (Orange wire). If voltage is less than 4 volts, go to TEST 40A. If voltage is more than 4 volts, replace traveler module.
