NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR  IDENTIFICATION. For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Perform TEST VER-1 after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Disconnect lamp outage module connector, located behind glove box and in front of A/C blower resistor. Check, clean and repair connections as needed. Start engine. Press brake pedal. If EVIC panel does not display BRAKE LAMP OUT, replace lamp outage module. If EVIC displays BRAKE LAMP OUT, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) Natural connector. Check, clean and repair connections as needed. Put DRB in ohmmeter mode. Measure resistance at BCM Natural connector terminal No. 5 (Light Blue/Black wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair Light Blue/Black wire between BCM Natural connector and lamp outage module connector for short to ground. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, replace BCM.
