Stop Lamp Switch Input To Cab
NOTE:
For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION. For wiring diagram, see wiring diagram.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect Controller Anti-Lock Brake (CAB) 60-pin connector. Inspect, clean and repair connector as necessary. Perform TEST VER-1A. If connector is okay, ensure brake pedal is released. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, check voltage on CAB 60-pin connector terminal No. 13 (White/Brown wire). If reading is more than 8 volts, go to step 3). If reading is less than 8 volts, go to next step.
- Depress brake pedal. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, check voltage on CAB 60-pin connector terminal No. 13 (White/Brown wire). If reading is more than 8 volts, go to TEST 20A. If reading is less than 8 volts, repair open White/Brown wire. Perform TEST VER-1A.
- Disconnect brakelight switch connector. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, check voltage on CAB connector terminal No. 13 (White/Brown wire). If reading is more than 8 volts, repair short to power in White/Brown wire. Perform TEST VER-1A. If reading is less than 8 volts, adjust or replace brakelight switch. Perform TEST VER-1A.
