Abs Relay Output Circuit

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION. For wiring diagram, see wiring diagram.
  1. Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, check resistance of relay box 10-pin connector terminal No. 5 (Red/Dark Blue wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in Red/Dark Blue wire. Replace ABS SOL fuse. Perform TEST VER-1A. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, go to next step.
  2. Using scan tool, check resistance of relay box 10-pin connector terminal No. 9 (Brown/Red wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in Brown/Red wire. Replace ABS SOL fuse. Perform TEST VER-1A. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, go to next step.
  3. Replace ABS SOL fuse. Reconnect relay box 10-pin connector. Using scan tool, select MISCELLANEOUS, then select BLEED BRAKES. If fuse blows again, replace relay box and ABS SOL fuse. Perform TEST VER-1A. If fuse is okay, go to next step.
  4. Visually check all related wiring and connections. Repair as necessary. Perform TEST VER-1A. If wiring and connections are okay, system is operating properly at this time. Perform TEST VER-1A.
