Test 112A - Traveler Buttons
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
NOTE:
For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS - 3.0L
article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. Perform TEST VER-1 after each repair.
- Using scan tool, read traveler switch status. If scan tool displays CLOSED for traveler STEP or US/M buttons, replace traveler module. If scan tool does not display CLOSED, go to next step.
- Press traveler step button and observe scan tool. If scan tool does not display CLOSED, replace traveler module. If scan tool displays CLOSED, go to next step.
- Press US/M button and observe scan tool. If scan tool does not display CLOSED, replace traveler module. If scan tool displays CLOSED, system is okay at this time.
