Test 112A - Traveler Buttons

CAUTION: Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
NOTE: For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS - 3.0L article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. Perform TEST VER-1 after each repair.
  1. Using scan tool, read traveler switch status. If scan tool displays CLOSED for traveler STEP or US/M buttons, replace traveler module. If scan tool does not display CLOSED, go to next step.
  2. Press traveler step button and observe scan tool. If scan tool does not display CLOSED, replace traveler module. If scan tool displays CLOSED, go to next step.
  3. Press US/M button and observe scan tool. If scan tool does not display CLOSED, replace traveler module. If scan tool displays CLOSED, system is okay at this time.
