Removal & Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1998 Plymouth Breeze, 1998 Dodge Stratus, and 1998 Chrysler Cirrus. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Open driver's door and remove end cap from dashboard. Remove scuff plate and center bezel. Remove instrument cluster hood. Remove left side knee bolster. Remove steering column cover. Remove silencer. Remove wiring harness connectors from junction block.
  2. Remove junction block/BCM assembly by pulling straight down from mounting bayonet. Disconnect BCM wiring connectors. Remove junction block/BCM assembly from vehicle. Remove 2 screws attaching BCM to junction block. Release 2 latches holding BCM to junction block. Remove junction block. To install, reverse removal procedure.
