Wipers Run Continuously With Switch In Intermittent Position & Wipers Do Not Park

  1. Disconnect wiper motor harness connector. Check continuity between ground and wiper motor terminal No. 4 (component side). See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . See Figure . If continuity exists, replace wiper motor. See WIPER MOTOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If continuity does not exist, go to next step.
  2. Manually move wiper motor to Park position. Check continuity between wiper motor terminals No. 4 and 5 (component side) with wiper motor in park position. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, replace wiper motor. See WIPER MOTOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  3. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) White 12-pin harness connector C3. Check continuity in Tan/Red wire between wiper motor harness connector terminal No. 4 and BCM harness connector C3 terminal No. 3. If continuity does not exist, repair open Tan/Red wire. If continuity exists, test wiper motor. See WIPERS INOPERATIVE  .
