Power Seat Inoperative
- Before beginning any test procedure, ensure battery is fully charged. Clean and tighten all electrical connections and terminals to ensure proper continuity and ground. Determine whether failure is mechanical or electrical.
- With wiring connected and dome light on, operate power seat switch in direction of failure. Watch dome light for evidence of power drain by seat motor. If dome light dims, motor is jammed, indicating a power drain and a mechanical problem. See MOTOR under COMPONENT TESTS. If there is no evidence of power draw, wiring may be faulty. See CIRCUIT BREAKER under COMPONENT TESTS.
