- Ensure battery is fully charged. To determine which motor is faulty, check each motor individually. Disconnecting shorted motor will allow others to work. If a motor does not work because of an open circuit, other motors will operate with faulty motor connected.
- Remove door trim panel to access suspect door lock motor. See DOOR TRIM PANEL under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
- Disconnect suspect door lock motor connector. Check for battery voltage across door lock motor connector while operating door lock switch. See Fig 1 . If battery voltage is not present, repair circuit between switch and motor. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If battery voltage is present, go to next step.
- Apply battery voltage to one door lock motor terminal and ground to other terminal. See Fig 1 . Door lock motor should operate in one direction. Reverse wire connections at terminals. Door lock motor should operate in opposite direction. If door lock motor does not operate properly, replace motor. See DOOR LOCK MOTOR under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
