Wipers Do Not Park

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2003 Dodge Intrepid, 2003 Chrysler Intrepid, 2003 Chrysler Concorde, 2003 Chrysler 300M, and 2002 Dodge Intrepid. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Check for open in Tan/Red wire between wiper motor connector terminal No. 4 and BCM connector C3 terminal No. 3. See Figure and Figure . Repair as necessary. If Tan/Red wire is okay, go to next step.
  2. Check for defective BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULES - CONCORDE, INTREPID & 300M (2002) or BODY DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES (2003). Repair as necessary. If BCM is okay, go to next step.
  3. Disconnect wiper motor connector. Connect fused jumper between battery voltage and wiper motor terminal No. 1 or 2. Connect jumper wire between ground and wiper motor terminal No. 5. Using DVOM, check resistance between wiper motor terminals No. 4 and 5. DVOM should indicate continuity once for each revolution of wiper motor. If continuity is not indicated with each revolution, replace wiper motor. See WIPER MOTOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
