Scan Tool Communication With PCM Not Possible

Check power supply and ground circuits to Powertrain Control Module (PCM). See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Check circuits between PCM and DLC. Repair circuit as necessary. If circuits are okay, replace PCM. See REMOVAL, OVERHAUL & INSTALLATION - CARS article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE.
