DTC P1495: Leak Detection Pump Solenoid Circuit: Description

Leak Detection Pump (LDP) solenoid circuit is monitored immediately after a cold start, with ambient temperature 40-90°F (4.4-32.2°C) and engine coolant temperature within 10°F of ambient temperature. DTC will set in Powertrain Control Module (PCM) memory when PCM senses state of solenoid circuit does not match PCM's desired state. Possible causes are: defective Leak Detection Pump (LDP), fused ignition switch output circuit open or shorted, LDP solenoid control circuit open or shorted, or defective PCM.
