DTC P0462: Fuel Level Sending Unit Volts Too Low Or DTC P0463: Fuel Level Sending Unit Volts Too High: Description

Fuel level sensor voltage is monitored with ignition on and battery voltage more than 10.4 volts. DTC P0462 will set in Powertrain Control Module (PCM) when fuel level sensor signal voltage is less than .4 volt for more than 90 seconds. DTC P0463 will set in PCM when fuel level sensor signal voltage is more than 9.9 volts for more than 90 seconds. Possible causes are: GOOD TRIP counter equal to zero or an intermittent condition is present.
