DTC P1489: High Speed Fan Control Relay Circuit: Description

Circuit is monitored when ignition is on, battery voltage is more than 10 volts, and PCM has requested radiator fan to be turned on. DTC will set when an open or short condition is detected in high speed radiator fan relay control circuit. Possible causes are: fused ignition switch output circuit open, high speed radiator fan relay control circuit open or shorted to ground, defective high speed radiator fan relay or defective PCM.
