MIC Messages Not Received

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  1. Turn ignition on. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC) located under left side of instrument panel. See Figure . Using scan tool, select BODY then ELECTRO/ MECH CLUSTER. If scan tool does not communicate with instrument cluster, go to BUS +/- SIGNALS OPEN OR NO RESPONSE FROM INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  . If scan tool communicates with instrument cluster, go to next step.
  2. Using scan tool, erase DTCs. Turn ignition off then on and wait for about one minute. If DTC does not reset, no problem is indicated at this time. Test is complete. If DTC resets, replace BCM.
