BCM Message Not Received

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  1. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC) located under left side of instrument panel. See Figure . Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, attempt to communicate with Body Control Module (BCM). If scan tool does not communicate with BCM, go to BUS +/- SIGNALS OPEN OR NO RESPONSE FROM BODY CONTROL MODULE  under COMMUNICATIONS. If scan tool communicates with BCM, go to next step.
  2. Using scan tool, erase DTCs. Cycle ignition off and on and wait about one minute. Using scan tool. check for DTCs. If DTC resets, replace Compass/Mini-Trip Computer System (CMTC). If DTC does not reset, no problem is indicated at this time. Test is complete.
