Removal & Installation

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2000 Plymouth Voyager, 2000 Plymouth Grand Voyager, 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan, 2000 Dodge Caravan, and 2000 Chrysler Voyager. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. The PCM is located between driver's side front fender and Power Distribution Center (PDC), near battery. See Fig 1 . Disconnect negative battery cable and then positive battery cable from battery.
  2. Remove bolts on side of PDC that secure PDC to mounting bracket. Remove heat shield from outside of battery. Remove battery. Rotate PDC toward engine to disengage PDC from rear mounting bracket. Pull power PDC toward rear of vehicle to disengage PDC from front mounting bracket.
  3. Allow PDC to lay aside for access to PCM. Remove electrical connectors from PCM. Electrical connectors may be removed by squeezing tabs on electrical connector together and pulling electrical connector from PCM. Remove bolts and PCM. To install, reverse removal procedure.
