Heated Seats

WARNING: Vehicle may be equipped with seatback-mounted air bags. Deactivate air bag system before performing any service operation involving seat components. See appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article in RESTRAINTS.

If heated seat switch LED does not come on with ignition on and heated seat switch pressed to HI or LO position, check that battery is fully charged. System will shut off power if battery voltage is 11.6 volts or less. If battery is okay, check junction block fuse No. 14 (10-amp) located under left side of instrument panel. Check ground connection under driver seat. Check heated seat switch. Check circuit breaker No. 2 (20-amp) located in junction block. Check heated seat elements. Connect scan tool and check for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC). If DTCs exist, see BODY CONTROL MODULES - CONCORDE, INTREPID & 300M article. If no DTCs exist, repair by symptom.
