Battery & Charging Systems: Generator: Removal
- Disconnect battery negative cable. (Fig 1
).

- Loosen the jam nut and adjustment bolt.
- Raise vehicle and support.
- Remove accessary drive splash shield. (Fig 2
).

- Loosen the lower mounting bolt.
- Remove the generator drive belt.
- Disconnect the generator field circuit wiring connector. Push the RED
locking tab to release.
- Remove the B+ terminal nut and wire.
- Remove the upper and lower mounting bolt and move generator off of pivot bracket. (Fig 3
).

- Remove pivot bracket.
- Remove Generator through wheel well. (Fig 4
