Installation - 3.3/3.8L

- Roll and place generator in position on vehicle (Figure ).
- Install upper bolts to hold generator in place.
- Lubricate the o-ring. Install oil dip stick tube.
- Install the upper oil dip stick tube bolt.
- Place B+ terminal in position on generator.
- Install nut to hold B+ wire terminal to back of generator.
- Connect the push-in field wire connector into back of generator.
- Raise vehicle and support.
- Install the lower mounting bolt and tighten.
- Install the lower oil dip stick tube bolt and tighten (Figure ).
- Install accessory drive belt, refer to the COOLING SYSTEM for proper procedures.
- Install the right front lower splash shield.
- Lower vehicle.
- Install wiring harness to the oil dip stick tube.
- Connect battery negative cable.
- Verify generator output rate.
