Ignition Coil: Description

The ignition coil assembly consists of 2 or 3 independent coils molded together (Fig 1) or (Fig 2). The coil assembly for the 3.3/3.8L is mounted on the intake manifold. The coil assembly for the 2.4L is mounted on the cylinder head cover. Spark plug cables route to each cylinder from the coil.
