The knock sensor threads into the side of the cylinder block in the rear.
- Install knock sensor. Tighten knock sensor to 10 N.m (7 ft. lbs.) torque. Over or under tightening effects knock sensor performance, possibly causing improper spark control.
- Attach electrical connector to knock sensor.
- On All Wheel Drive vehicles install the PTU (Power Transfer Unit) for the rear wheels, refer to the POWER TRANSFER UNIT .
- Lower vehicle.
- Connect the negative cable.
